Light depended resistor is a device whose resistivity changes with change in incident electromagnetic radiations value. Our sensor can detect any small variation in light. This sensor is made of a high resistance semiconductor. When there is dark condition, a sensor can have a resistance of several megaohms, while in light its resistance decreases up to few hundred ohms.  When light falls on LDR Sensor, its resistance decreases which lead to activate an alarm connected to this sensor. It can be used in several applications including security system for lockers, cash boxes, and jewel shops.
